Taiwan: Gov't offers assurances on visas for tourists from mainland't-promises.htm
Interior Minister Liao Liou-yi promised that the government would ensure mainland tourists obtained visas before landing in Taiwan, after three groups landed in Taiwan without visas this month. Airlines flying charter flights between mainland China and Taiwan have been warned that they will incur a fine of NT$20,000 to NT$100,000 per passenger if they fail to ensure that he or she holds valid visas before boarding its flights to Taiwan in the future. The airlines carrying the passengers who landed without visas last month may be fined accordingly after the relevant investigations have been carried out, Liao said. The China Post |
