Poland: Remittances from E.U. states expected to drop:19658?lang=PL,Remittances+from+Polish+migrant+workers+to+drop+by+EUR+3bn.html
Remittances from Polish migrant workers in EU countries are expected to drop from EUR billion last year to 2 billion this year - according to a survey quoted by the Rzeczpospolita daily. The reason is that large numbers of Polish workers have lost jobs in crisis-stricken EU states like Britain. The latest figures made available by the Irish office of statistics reveal that immigrants from the new EU states like Poland joined the ranks of the unemployed in greatest numbers, TVN24 reports. British statistics also show that Poles account for a significant proportion of the two million of the country's unemployed. In Iceland as much as 65% of the newly unemployed are Polish migrant workers. The Polish Market |
