Fiji: Special police unit planned for enhanced border patrolA special police unit will join the ranks of established border control agencies in a bid to step up security at key entry points.
Members of the unit are presently training and will be empowered with the right to search, inspect and arrest suspects. With increasing passenger load and sophistication in crime operation, police want to be at the forefront of border control.
