Pakistan: Ten arrested at airport for possessing fake documents

The Immigration Department at Islamabad Airport Monday arrested ten passengers who were trying to go to different counties on fake documents. All the suspects have been handed over to Anti Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) for investigation, the Airport Immigration sources said.

Eight passengers namely Adeel Shah (Mandi Bahauddin), Irfan Akbar (Gujrat), Ghazanfar Ali (Mandi Bahauddin), Syed Farhan Haider (Gujranwala) got their boarding cards for Dubai-bound Emirate's flight EK-613. Similarly Muhammad Irfan and Muhammad Usman (Mandi Bahauddin), Syed Ahmar Bokhari and Fazal-e-Haq Raja (Rawalpindi) got their boarding cards for London-bound PIA's flight PK-785 after clearance from the immigration and customs, the sources said adding the difference of time between two flights was one hour and 50 minutes.

The sources said that all the eight passengers gathered in departure lounge and the passengers exchanged their boarding cards with each other and changed their destinations. Meanwhile, the London group boarded on Emirate's flight EK-613 scheduled to fly at 10 a.m. while the Dubai group kept on waiting in the departure lounge to proceed to London (PK-785 scheduled to take off at 11.50 a.m.
