Netherlands: Gov't cracks down on illegals, failed asylum seekers

The Dutch cabinet has taken additional measures to expel illegal aliens and failed asylum seekers, say deputy justice minister Nebahat Albayrak.
A report by Trouw reveals additional measures which include allowing aliens police (immigration police) to search homes, workplaces, computers and mobile telephones of suspected aliens for proof of identity papers without having to first apply for permission from the courts.
The new measures will also make it impossible for illegal aliens to file a new asylum request just before they board the plane.
